In setting up ARTEDER. Basque Art Database, we used an alphabetical classification criterion. Entries on artists include their two surnames and first names, followed, where appropriate, by their pseudonyms or the artistic names they used when displaying their work.
Individual and group exhibitions are presented in chronological order, with entries giving the places and dates of the exhibitions, followed by the title, the exact venue and dates on which the exhibitions were inaugurated and closed.
Bibliographical references are classified alphabetically under artist-title. With the standard publications in a range of media, including essays, exhibition catalogues and journals, all brochures, hand catalogues and analytical material used in the documentary study of each artists are listed. A specific link facilitates user access to the bibliographical registries in the Library Catalogue associated with each reference. This way, researchers will know what material from the documents listed is available for consultation in the Library. This section also lists the Internet resources of interest to complete documentary research.
